Irish Whiskey
Here the malt whiskey has a share of grain sweetness that comes through, making this the best Bushmills for mixing.
Smooth, deep and complex, this is one of the great Irish blends. While the standard Irish characteristics are present, there is something more in this one, something earthy and rich. As with other whiskeys of fine quality, it’s best without ice that would cover its complex flavors.
An Irish whiskey from 100% malted barley, the youngest whiskey in these bottles is 10 years old. This is the standard expression of Bushmills, with vanilla and soft sweetness, with a long finish.
Three different woods, the third being old port casks, give this fine whiskey hints of vanilla, fruit, nuts and even dark berries (from the port casks).
After 19 years in American oak and Spanish sherry casks, this lovely Bushmills spends two years in Madeira drums. Among the elegant results are dark chocolate and toffee.
Single malt Irish whiskey finished in virgin oak casks- their first of three releases represents the national tree of Ireland, Quercus Petraea, the Sessile Oak. Synonymous with the finest French wines and brandies, these casks impart a complex balance of spices, almond-nuttiness, and stone fruits.
Single malt Irish whiskey finished in virgin oak casks- their second of three releases represents Quercus Alba, the American White Oak. These casks impart vanilla, coconut and caramel, with a hint of clove and smokiness due to the charring and toasting techniques used at the coopering stage.
Single malt Irish whiskey finished in virgin oak casks- their third release represents Quercus Robur, the European Oak, synonymous with sherry and cognac production. These casks impart rich ginger, clove and cinnamon spices along with a roasted coffee and chocolate character.
An adventurous Irish whiskey. From secret sources, aged in casks collected from across six continents (South African brandy, Japanese oak, European sherry, Australian tawny, Colombian rum, U.S. bourbon, Caribbean rum)
A classic pure pot still whiskey that is worth the indulgence for sheer sophisticated pleasure. There is no more celebrated Irish whiskey, none that gives you its elegant honey and soft dried fruit with hints of toasted almonds.
The perfect blend between malted barley & grain and the special handpicked bourbon barrels add a delicate and subtle sweetness with a deep oak woodiness & light char to the finish. Nose: Light citrus notes, peppered spice and vanilla undertones. Taste: Earthy fruits, butterscotch & vanilla sweetness from the bourbon casks, white pepper followed by an oak woodiness. Finish: Sweet, spice, oak, with lingering ripe fruits
Thrice distilled in County Cork, just as it’s always been. There’s a reason Paddy’s Whiskey has been making friends for nearly a quarter millennium.
Cut from the heart of the distillate. That means more top and tail gets thrown away than any other Irish whiskey. Left to mature in selected American oak casks, this is where the spicy, bold character takes hold. A complex and honeyed taste is yours for the taking.
Balancing the peppery taste of rye with the sweetness from seasoned American oak cask maturation, this new Powers expression brings real character, from a country not short on character itself.
Its depth and complexity gives spice with the sweetness, with floral undertones. The finish is long, peppery and satisfying.
